I’m glad Abby sees the error of her ways, but people who kill their own children still need to be held accountable. There has to be some sort of punishment associated with killing one’s children. Otherwise, the unborn remain second-class citizens.

It’s much safer to go after a woman who did something horrible, realized it, and set about trying to fix the problem.

And you get to preen while doing absolutely no good, and quite a bit of harm by helping trap anyone else who might recognize a wrong, and stop. Much less work to fix the problem.

Not exactly a new thing– like folks sometimes ask, where was the guy that was adultery-ing withthe Woman Caught In Adultery?

Also to add to Don’s point, ex post facto punishment is expressly forbidden in the Constitution. Article 1, Section 9:
“No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.”
