Stay safe Bree! When seconds count the police are only minutes away. A gun can often be a girl’s best friend. A baseball bat next to the door is a good precaution. A dog, which Bree has, can also come in handy as security alarm. A sturdy male friend to chase him off isn’t the worst idea in the world if available. This type of obnoxious terrorizing of women makes my blood boil. It is an insult to every decent man.
I might also suggest a light sword, like a foil, and training to use it. Cheaper than a firearm. It can be a distinct deterrent to troublesome persons if use well.

Pepper spray is also effective as is garden Hornet spray.
My husband’s standard suggestion– though it’s usually for Domestic type issues- is to go stay with a friend.
(with qualifications that don’t apply in this case, like not also his friend, although married couples are a good choice)
The young Italian males can be a problem to female tourists. Years ago in Rome my grandmother ws patted on the rear multiple times on a bus. A 7th grade girl while standing on a crowed bus with her parents and holding onto a strap for balance was fondled under her blouse by a creep. When I was 11 out of the blue a bell boy kissed me. I am sure it is worse in Italy now with the boat people from N Africa who are mostly male.
Cam – agree the North African immigrants don’t know how to act with females. They come into a country where the females don’t wrap and think it’s a free for all. Another case against indiscriminate immigration.
But yeah what Creep. Stay safe. If she knows a burly male or two, they could give him a few slaps or two. Really hard ones. He will get the message then.
