Milley as the Symbol of a Broken Military

Plus he has the emotional maturity level of a 15 year old girl.  (Trump was mean to me!)  He carries around a stack of books on World War II to demonstrate how smart he is, and to illustrate why his main military feat as Army Chief of Staff was resurrecting for the Army  the “normal” Army uniform of the forties, which is rather as if Eisenhower had brought back Union Army uniforms for World War II.  His idea of strategy is to have a chat fest with his Chinese opposite number.  He predicted the Afghan forces would hold out for months and that the Ukrainians would be beaten in days.  While Trump was in office he was trying out a dinner theater revival of Seven Days in May which would have been disastrous to the Republic but for his own, saving grace in this case, gross incompetence.  That a useless, politicized poseur like Milley could rise to the top of our military demonstrates the extent of the rot within it, and why increasingly few worthwhile recruits want to have anything to do with it.

That the Puppetmasters’ administration seems perfectly oblivious to the weakness of our military as they risk, and even appear to court at times, a two front war with Russia and China, seems to be rooted either in idiocy or treason.

I doubt in his mundane life he’s anything out of the ordinary. I would also doubt he has any intellectual deficits. Rather, he exemplifies the degree to which our Brahmin class simply have no loyalty to the mass of the public in this country. Up until a couple of years ago, I’d have assumed the military was largely untouched by that tendency. Stupid me.
