Planned Parenthood Founder On Eugenics, Feminism, Morons, & Immigrants

It is no wonder that, going back about half a century, I found that many of  Margaret Luise Higgins Sanger’s works had been removed from the open stacks in the library of a large university. The internet being what it is, efforts to hide these from the public have now failed miserably.

Sanger founded The American Birth Control League which some time later was re-named Planned Parenthood.

In “A License for Mothers to Have Babies,” subtitled “A code to stop the overproduction of children,” she wrote that being a parent of a child was not a right, but a privilege to be granted only by the State. In 1939, some time after she visited National Socialist Germany, she spearheaded “The Negro Project,” whose American “Final Solution” was to reduce the number of African Americans births. She said:

The mass of Negroes, particularly in the South, still breed carelessly and disastrously, with the result that the increase among Negroes, even more than among whites, is from that portion of the population least intelligent and fit, and least able to rear children properly.

In the 1930s, she visited the totalitarian socialist countries of the Communist Soviet Union and Nazi Germany to learn how these socialists used “women’s rights” as the basis for government power over children, parenting, education, and the family. Back in the United States, she became a champion of forced sterilizations of the “unfit.” In the Birth Control Review journal, she wrote:

Russia today is the country of the liberated woman. The attitude of Soviet Russia toward its women…would delight the heart of the staunchest feminist.

This is the same  attitude of prodeath feminists in America today.

Follow The Science

In   My Way To Peace;  January 17, 1932, Sanger stated:

Science has been applied to the various channels of life’s needs especially to our environment. Industry, commerce, education, hygiene, surgery, agriculture, dairy, factory, mining and even war have had the benefits of the best that science could command; but it has not yet been applied to improving the quality of life itself nor to the maintenance of PEACE.

She also wrote:

MY WAY TO PEACE would be First, to put into action the fourteen points of President Wilson’s, upon which Germany and Austria surrendered to the Allies. Second, to have Congress set up a special department for the study of population problems, and appoint a Parliament of Population Directors representing the various branches of science. This body to direct and control the population through Birth rates and immigration, and direct its distribution over the country according to national needs consistent with the taste, fitness and interest of the individuals.

The main objects of the Population Congress would be: . . . .

(c) keep the doors of Immigration closed to the entrance of certain aliens whose condition is known to be detrimental to the stamina of the race, such as feeble-minded, idiots, morons, insane, syphiletic, epileptic, criminal, professional prostitutes, and others in this class barred from entrance by the Immigration Laws  . . .

1. d) apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization, and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is already tainted or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.

(e) to insure the country against future burdens of maintenance for numerous offspring as may be born of feeble-minded parents, the government would pension all persons with transmissible disease who voluntarily consent to sterilization.

(f) the whole dysgenic population would have its choice of segregation or sterilization.

(g) there would be farm lands and homesteads where these segregated persons would be taught to work under competent instructors for the period of their entire lives.

The first step would thus be to control the intake and output on morons, mental defectives, epileptics.

The second step would be to take an inventory of the secondary group such as illiterates, paupers, unemployables, criminals, prostitutes, dope-fiends; classify them in special departments under government medical protection and segregate on farms and open spaces as long as necessary for the strengthening and development of moral conduct.

Having coralled this enormous part of our population and placed it on a basis of health not punishment, it is safe to say that about fifteen or twenty millions of our population would then be organized into soldiers of defense–defending the unborn against their own disabilities.

Conclusion

It took almost a century for the business executives and directors of  Planned Parenthood operations to realize that their Patron Saint Margaret was not the best poster girl for their baby-killing marketing efforts.

Today’s democrats seek to make the State the de facto parent of all children. They  wield the power of elected office, the power of the federal Department of Education, and similar agencies in various states,  and they co-opt school boards and school superintendencies, denying parents any role in what their children are taught. This diabolical scheme is right in line with Sanger’s view that parenthood was not a right, but a privilege that only the state could give.

What would become of those really in power in America today, members of the Democrat Party of Death, and its Manchurian puppet president, if Sanger’s standards regarding the feeble-minded, idiots, morons, the insane and mental defectives were enshrined in law?   I will leave it to the comments to point out the other ludicrous ironies of her statements quoted above in comparison with what the Party of Death advocates for today.
