Burn of the Day

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

As from the beginning, starting with the initial leak in 2016 of “Trump compromised by incident in a Russian hotel,” etc., this whole fake story of January 6 “Trump raging in a limo,” and all the other fake stories, “Alfa Bank,” “Stormy Daniels,” “Manafort and the Ukrainians,” ad nauseam are best treated with total eye-rolling apathy. Cassidy Hutchinson now takes her place in that art gallery.
[Personally the first time I heard the Russian Hotel hooker story, I “knew” it was fake and likely the same to many others here. Infinitely far-fetched. Too crazy. Too reminiscent of the OSS’ psychological portrait of the never-authenticated story of Hitler and his perverse infatuations (which seems awfully similar to Christopher Steele’s creative writing project). But hot bait to gullible dumb Leftwing fish.]
But just as we used to say that “Catholic scandals were (acceptable) Protestant pornography,” the most far-fetched anti-Trump scandal now is definitely heavy-breathing Leftwing fantasy now.
The Left have no justification making fun of the “Q” people.
There is also the real possibility that she has some problems dealing with the difference between reality and fantasy. Her verbal delivery manifests a certain construction as she goes along to be later embellished.
And by the way, now shows up defeated jilted candidate Mo Brooks, who now says he wants to be testify before the “January Sick commission.”
Next we should take testimony from disaffected ex-wives of Trump. That should be a rich vein to mine.
Firstly, so-what if he yelled at a secret service agent.
And secondly, the he-said-she-said managed to get herself onto the stand to testify this dribble? That in itself is laughable. Even Judge Judy would have slammed her and yelled “I don’t want to hear it that’s hearsay.”
They really are pulling out all the stops to try and get Trump in a position where he does not run again.
I believe this blog has covered the “masked servant class,” and I think this is related. I’m reminded of stories(GKC had one) where “servants” were able to get away with things because they were invisible, i.e. the fancy people couldn’t see them
In making up her story, she forgot that Trump was in a vehicle with a real driver, with a real name who could easily call B.S. I really think not being able to see workers as people is the best explanation for this oversight.
Last night I saw a video on YouTube from Fox News with Bret Baier that pretty much took the charges at face value. The title of the video is “Bret Baier: This is stunning.” Sounded like something that I would have expected from the MSM.
I have never found Bret Baier to be the least bit impressive. He has all the insight and sharpness of a stunned duck.
The 1/6 hearing have degenerated into desparate flailing. The Dems and the “suit” Republicans seem terrified that Trump will pull a Grover Cleveland and run in ’24. The Dems have failed for years to cultivate successors to their current leadership, leaving them with superannuated dinosaurs like Biden and Pelosi on the one hand and unseasoned, self-deluded yonkers like AOC on the other. Nobody late 30s to late 50s, who could have the combination of experience, energy (and mental alertness) to hold national office.
The Republicans now have more of these, but have to tell the “suits” that they need somebody with Trump’s fire and daring (along with better self-awareness) to get those working class votes they got in 2016. DeSanctis might do.
Have a gander at the collection of Democrats who ran for President in 2020. The Democrats have accomplished people they can run. Democratic voters aren’t interested.
Art:
Was it the voters or the rich backers who were not interested in these “accomplished people”? If you had such, why run a Biden?
Was it the voters or the rich backers who were not interested in these “accomplished people”?
The voters. Among them were Michael Bloomberg and Andrew Yang, who could self-finance.
Art: As I remember Bloomberg made insulting comments about the working class voters. Contrary to his comments, modern agriculture does make use of modern technology. There are many blue collars jobs that increasingly involve the use of modern technology.

Rod Dreher bought the limousine story hook, line, and sinker, never stopping to ask how the mechanics were possible in a vehicle with that one’s specific properties.

Rod Dreher isn’t the only one who makes a habit of stepping on rakes.

OK, tell me why the Democratic electorate took no interest in Yang, Delaney, Hickenlooper, or Bullock.
Art,
Evidently, the most effective and extensive voter fraud organizations in US History preferred a demented guy with a 47 year history of corruption, lies and stupidity over those guys.
As far as I can tell, the Bush Presidential Center has issued no remarks on Dobbs. Their Twitter feed does lead you to a softball interview with Lizard Cheney. I regret every word I ever uttered in defense of that man.
Art: My comment was only to highlight Bloomberg’s stupid comments. I resigned a lifetime membership in the Democratic party a long time ago and became a registered Independent. I have seen nothing that would make me rethink this action. From what I’ve observed the only permitted media narrative for the Democratic party is that of the hard left.
