Absolutely Ken. Free vehicle charging would not survive full transition to EVs.

It’s not just the cost, Ken. It’s the electric grid. There aren’t enough power plants nor enough grid distribution. And all the CO2 emissions prevented by replacing gas fueled cars with electric cars are obviated by all the methane burning power plants that must now be built to recharge car batteries. PS, we have shutdown a dozen nuke plants over the course of recent Democrat Administrations. So where exactly will electricity for charging electric car batteries come? Less than 30% capacity factor solar and wind? People in this country don’t know one damn thing about electric generation and distribution.
Amen to all three comments above. There is also one more fun fact: chances are excellent that Stabenow didn’t even pay for her Tesla. We did. Congress critters are allowed to use up to $1000 per month for EV leases under the “Members Representational Allowance” program, which funds the critters’ “official” expenditures in addition to their egregiously high salaries and campaign contribution grift. What a gig.
Most politicians live in their own bubble. They are only let out to do the bidding of their owners who are looking to get what they paid for.
