A Non-Binary Person-

female and male symbols interlinked

Meaning, someone who is genuinely not XX or XY.

This article was shared in a scifi group I frequent, and I’m going to quote the part that struck me– exactly because I never see it in scifi.

I reject, absolutely, the idea of gender and physical sex being separate. The material condition of the vast majorities of our species is a sex binary: Male. Female. There are outliers such as myself. But we’re just that – abnormal outliers. And that’s not a slur, nor should it be seen as a slur. I am abnormal. I am outside the normal distribution of chromosomes. In a random sample of people, 99% of the time you’ll get XX/XY as the population of your sample. That’s “normal”. It is not evil or good in a moral sense. It’s just material reality. Claiming that my use of abnormal is “bad” or “evil” is like claiming that finding a four leaf clover in a field of three leaf clovers is bad or evil – it isn’t. It’s an abnormal rare event that is kind of interesting. There are downsides, I outlined some above but there are others. Those are just part of the material reality. It’s like being mad you have to drink water. Or breathe oxygen. It just is.

One plus one does equal two. One plus one plus one equals three.

There is coarse language, but I’d strongly suggest reading the whole article.

How strongly?  The guy uses the unaltered phrase ‘holy s that’s sexist as f’ and I’m still considering having our 12 year old read it, because he is cursing when it’s appropriate.  Usually, cursing is to give emphasis that isn’t warranted; in this case, it’s viscerally suited.  But it’s still obscene/profane.  YMMV, I am giving warning for those who are sensitive to such, but….wow.  This poor guy.  I’m so glad he was willing to write about it.  And I am so glad that Holly Math Nerd shared the guest post as Plus One: Commentary on Gender Ideology Culture

(Substack– the site that this is posted on– is a sort of digital newsletter.  Some are paid subscriptions, some are not; Holly Math Nerd offers paid subscriptions, but it’s not required to read it, and neither she nor the guy who wrote the guest post would know me from Adam’s off ox.)

Foxfier that’s a brilliant article. I sent the link to my 14yo. Thanks for sharing it.

I really liked how the author questioned why we need to define ourselves and then flip our lot when people don’t define us how we force them to define us. That’s the crux of the trans non-binary movement. Walking on eggshells-shelves, yet everyone’s confused- including the movement. Yet they are so sure of themselves in their confusion. The confusion has cemented itself and its become habit.

The author obviously didn’t choose to be born with the extra chromosome, struggled and suffered and yet didn’t let him define his worth. In fact, it made him stronger. Struggle makes you stronger. That’s the message.

God has given him a real sense of identity to allow him to express a voice of reason- this will help others who struggle with identity and “abnormality” and confusion. Confusion is of the devil. He wants us to be confused. That way he can slip right in and do his dirty work. God is clarity.
