The Feds Are On It

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

WASHINGTON, D.C.—FBI agents confronted the mob surrounding Justice Kavanaugh’s home today, warning them to steer clear of the house next door as a local school board member lives there.

“Sure would hate to have to charge one of you nice people with domestic terrorism,” said Agent Raymond Epley to a group of women lighting baby dolls on fire. “By all means, threaten the justice and his family! But if you set one foot on the school board treasurer’s lawn, it’s a one-way trip to Gitmo.”

The FBI had initially declined to investigate security risks to the Supreme Court justices as they were busy planning how to kidnap another moderately attractive Democrat governor. However, after being alerted of the mob’s proximity to a school board member, the FBI immediately surrounded the area with snipers and dispatched several SWAT units.

“Wow, déjà vu from the school board meeting,” said local mom Katie Burkhart as she watched the scene unfold on TV. “Last fall, I went to one meeting to simply read out loud the books and curriculum being assigned to my 5th grader, to see if they knew what was happening. Next thing I know, bam! Flashbangs going off and the FBI is tearing the place apart. They always said middle school years would be the hardest.”

18 USC 1507 comes to mind:

A protest at the home of a judge is straight intimidation.  It is intended to convey the message that the judge and his family are not safe if the judge rules in a way that the protestors object to.  This has nothing to do with freedom of speech and everything to do with intimidation of judges, something which has been illegal since the office of judge was devised.  Too bad the current regime in Washington is all in favor of intimidation of anyone who stands in its way.

Not sure where the Alitos live. They sold their condo in DC about a year ago. Their son lives in Arlington. I wonder if they confused the home of the son with the home of the father.

Not sure of the division of labor between the state attorney-general and the local prosecutors ‘commonwealth attorney’ in Virginia. There is a state law in Virginia which debars this sort of thing and it’s possible that the state attorney-general could prosecute if the U.S. Attorney and the blue local prosecutor elect to act as handmaidens of Alinskyite outfits.

Hah! Still believing in laws. Haven’t you learned by now rule 0? “The law only applies when it benefits democrats or hurts republicans.”

Why can’t they call the police on the protesters to disband the protest. . . They are obstructing travel paths, disturbing the peace, harassment- use anything. Surely the neighbours are irate too. Call the police on the pests.
