Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Go to Princeton

The comments on the thread are absolutely scathing.  Go here to read them.  The actual reason why the Lincoln Penny looks as it does:

It’s not at all that complicated. The coin’s designer, Victor David Brenner, adapted the image from a plaque he’d sculpted in 1907. Artistic license, pure and simple.

This type of crackpot conspiratorial thought is a feature on the margins of every society.  The problem is that in academia, if dressed up in the rags of critical race theory and other forms of Leftism, such crackpotism has become dogma to be taught to the rising generation.  It is easy to laugh at it, and ignore how poisonous it is to the students exposed to it.

How could the Lincoln image face a “different direction” when it was the first US commercial strike with a real person? And did this alleged biology major forget all his chemistry about the toning of copper, as it ages with handling?
