We’re correct in thinking that all men ought to be free, but mistaken if we think that all men desire freedom. Many don’t, many desire safety and being told what to do by a dictator, imam, deep state, CRT PhD…
And then there’s this:

Freedom is very precious thing; And not the norm.

But David WS, I believe as Lincoln said freedom is “The justice of the Creator to his creatures”. I think, as hard as it is, the duty of those of us who know that all men ought to desire freedom to teach it to others, mostly by being a good example in the use of our freedom.
No man wants to be a slave, but many believe their liberty depends on the servitude of others.
