After the Oppression Card is Played

 

 

 

 

When a government plays the oppression card to crush a movement, it faces a very dangerous moment if the movement refuses to be crushed.  Forty years ago Communism in Europe was beginning to unwind due to the followers of Solidarity  refusing to be crushed in Poland.

My son is a new Marine and reports his group gets a daily “Ukraine” update. Crickets about Canada. Or the southern Border. Or China etc. The military is living in Brandon’s head and finding there is lots of open range to spread out. I keep reminding my boy to learn as much as he can about guns. tactics, and First Aid. Using the correct pronoun wont save his life. Go Canada!

Canadians have been told for the longest time that they are like Americans but nicer. Many bought into that until their government pushed them to the edge. Now they react like Americans when their freedoms are threatened. Really no surprise.

Dave RX, I suspect there are huge numbers of tenured Russia Hawks in the state department with nothing else to do and no other way of seeing the world.
And the failed Biden administration needs a distraction.

“And to think that it happened on Wellington Street.” OTOH, now that Canada has gone banana republic, maybe all those Progessive “celebrities” who keep threatening to move there will finally pull up stakes and go. I need a companion piece to my Crockett bumper sticker: “You may all go to Canada, as for me, I will go to Texas.”
