That’s like asking what’s my favorite gun.

I’m a big Searchers fan.

‘The Informer’ is not often aired. It lacks the sprigs of humor and homely humanity. It’s dark and evil and ends in redemption, of a sort.

The Quiet Man.

My wife, Mary Katherine Mooney Nachazel, has that tremendous Irish spirit. Something my mom possessed and appreciated in her daughter in law. Yes, she’s as beautiful as Maureen O’hara too.. [ wife and deceased mom. ]

I have never raised my hand against her, nor will I ever. We have had our share of disagreements yet we put them away before going to sleep, since we hold our love for each other higher than the subject of any petty grievance.

We both love The Quiet Man for what it is. A remarkable example of love conquering all. The matchmaker, the race, the traditions and the on location vista’s. It had it all.
A beautiful movie.

The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance. Although technically the film’s star story was about Jimmy Stewart’s character, Ford had the events turn on the activities of John Wayne. The result was a masterful portrayal of both characters.

Is that where Rooster Cogburn got his eyepatch? I have not read the book, but I have read that Cogburn, while one-eyed, did not wear a patch. If true, it would be a very sly and subtle homage to Ford!
