Both Singh and his brother are lawyers in politics; immigration brings such benefits to Canada. His predecessor was a lawyer who was on and off public payrolls while maintaining his practice. That man’s predecessor was an academic at a public university. The two preceding were both social workers. The preceding was a lawyer who spent much of his adult life on the payroll of political organizations &c. The preceding one was a lapsed clergyman. The New Democratic Party was an outgrowth of a previous organization that had a largely agrarian basis. Only led by a farmer quite briefly. The British Labour Party had a long run (up until 1935) run by men who’d grown up in the wage-earning strata and lived part of their adult life in it and as recently as 1992 it was run by Neil Kinnock, a miner’s son. The New Democratic Party is innocent of that.

He’s a purveyor of occidental wokism. I don’t think that’s what injures the quality of life in the Punjab. India’s quality of life is injured by low skill levels in their population. Their economies have actually been growing quite rapidly in the last generation.
Singh works in two subsectors which are suffused with rent-seeking. Libertarian advocates of immigration produce all sorts of models contending it’s economically beneficial. The Singh brothers are working in a deadweight loss sector.
People like him gravitate to liberals, who themselves gravitate to anything disruptive, because they give him a voice. These types go where the love is. They don’t know anything about patriotism or loyalty or integrity because they haven’t had to work for anything. The liberals made sure it was served to them on a silver platter the moment they entered their newly adopted country. We have many like them here.
