It seems to be clear that the pontiff used the “gay dossier” left on Benedict’s desk as a recruiting database.
So he has a pretty clever recruitment strategy going on- hiring the most stupid and the most incompetent. They don’t ask questions and therefore are the easiest to manage.
That can be part of it, but he prefers the morally-compromised (e.g., nighty-night baby). They are easier to both manipulate and, if necessary, intimidate.
Is Archbishop Scicluna homosexual? The Church Militant article didn’t make that accusation.
“Morally-compromised” doesn’t necessarily mean homosexual. At a minimum, Scicluna looks like he enjoys the money.

“Fr David Muscat will be charged in court with hate speech and misuse of technology over his disparaging comments on gay people.
Police have filed charges of hate crime over two comments that the priest posted to Facebook this week.
In one of the comments, Fr Muscat spoke about the possibility that murder suspect Abner Aquilina was gay, bisexual or possessed by the devil and said ‘gayness’ was worse than being possessed.
The other comment was posted underneath a photo showing the murder suspect wearing a colourful shirt. Fr Muscat commented that he looked like he was just coming back from ‘gay pride’.
Police may have deemed this comment illegal for implying that people who attend gay pride are criminals.

JFK – Did you see a reference to the archbishop liking a picture from a gay pride parade and turn it into him being at a gay pride parade?
Pinky, I did see that photo that Quotemeister linked to in his post and it looked like him in it. If it is not him, then I was mistaken.
Regardless, Pride is a sin and to “Like” a movement and a parade that celebrates a mortal sin is not a Catholic position and much less a position that a Catholic Bishop should take. This should fail him “upward” to a Cardinal’s hat.
Was it a month ago that someone posted that a newly-appointed bishop had previously been driven into retirement under a cloud of paedo accusations, and it turned out to be a different priest with the same last name?
So there are now Equality Ministers and Inclusivity Ministers. The free world has ceased to exist.

I’m not on Twitter, but I think he just clicked “like”. I don’t know, maybe he likes parades. Maybe he gets 100 tweets a day and clicks “like” on most of them. Maybe he likes gay rights in some way that’s compatible with the Faith. I don’t know. If Church Militant didn’t find a reason to call him homosexual, I can bet there’s not direct evidence that he’s homosexual. And it’s calumny to say he is if he isn’t. As was noted up-thread, Dante puts liars in the 8th circle of Hell, and even though these threads feel like they have no more permanence than a video game, these are public statements that we’re making about specific individuals in the Catholic hierarchy.
