More details as I have them.  Prayers on the way.

Update:

Update 2:

A suspect is in custody:

I am hearing that five are dead and 40 injured from this act of domestic terrorism.

Or was this a completely opportunistic act?

As usual the first reports are contradictory.  More to come as this all gets sorted out.

Once in a blue moon you hear of something like this when someone has an epileptic seizure behind the wheel. Don’t think that’s what was up here.

Oh.
Prayers.
How tragic.
I’m at a loss for words.
God help them.

From reports I’m seeing elsewhere, no, not an accident.

Possibly insane, 50/50 on if it was from the media’s lies on the Kenosha case, or if it’s a Religion of Peace attack on Christians. Possible it’s both, especially if the attacker is mentally ill by nature or chemically induced means.

Given the proximity of Waukesha (west of Milwaukee) to Kenosha (south of Milwaukee and north of Chicago), it wouldn’t surprise me that a liberal progressive or a BLM / Antifa activist did this terrorist attack in revenge for the Rittenhouse verdict. However, we don’t know all the facts, and the news media will never report whether or not the perpetrator of this horrible event is a liberal progressive or a BLM / Antifa activist.

Atrocities like this I check Jihad-Watch as they’re usually two days ahead of any other reporting, and there’s nothing there. This does appear to be a disgruntled mass murderer, “liberal progressive or a BLM / Antifa activist did this terrorist attack in revenge for the Rittenhouse verdict”.

Inspired by MSNBC or CNN.. no doubt.

The Wi car terror attack isn’t about millions of lies about the Rittenhouse political persecution.

It’s about decades, and tens of billions, of such lies.

Have we come to the point where black career criminals and maniacs [financed by Democrats] and the left believe, “Violence is the answer.”?

Looks like it.

The same media who immediately pegged Rittenhouse as a white supremacist, are not speculating on the motive for this attack and are in fact downplaying any connection.

Prediction: expect this story to be downplayed, explained away and forcibly forgotten very very quickly.

Build Back Bitter.

Person of Interest @ Instapundit. “Brooks is a career criminal with multiple priors and was released from jail two days prior to the incident after posting a $1,000 bail for three misdemeanors and two felonies. He has a history of resisting arrest, obstruction, battery, statutory sexual seduction, strangulation and suffocation, property destruction, illegal firearm possession, bail jumping, domestic violence, drug related charges and is a registered sex offender.”

Sorry for the typo-filled earlier comment.

It has also come to light that the alleged murderer was out on $1000 bail from a Milwaukee court despite facing a charge of felony bail jumping.

At a minimum, we have at least one officer of the court with blood on his hands.

Even if he was fleeing and eluding, choosing to mow down people under those circumstances does not exclude a political (terroristic) motivation. A terror crime of opportunity: if he’s going down, might as well take of few of “them” with him.

I can never tell if it’s judges or prosecutors who are responsible for these travesties.

Too early to tell. Perhaps both–that happened recently in New York, where a serial attacker of LEOs was let out without despite the prosecutor and judge both knowing about his past.

As T. Shaw noted, one of Brooks’ offenses was jumping bail—so Milwaukee County District (Destruct?) Attorney John Chisholm, who has praised the madcap no-bail/low-bail policies of SF County District Attorney and former Hugo Chavez translator/advisor Chesa Boudin, released him two days prior for $1000 bail. Yay.

FYI – I support defund the police and DAs. Evidence proves their sole purpose is to protect career criminals from you, me, and Kyle Rittenhouse.

In other news, IL Dem dirt bag [redundant] Mary Lemanski, “The blood of Kyle Rittenhouse’s victims is on the hands of Wisconsin citizens, even the children.” Translation, “Make the World a better place. Shoot a white man in the face.” And, ‘”Violence is the answer.”

Lemanski resigned today as social media director of the DuPage Democrats. It was quickly accepted.

I saw part of her Twitter feed–I almost feel sorry for her–she clearly does not get what happened. At the risk of sounding like the Cranky Old Man, “kids these days” need to learn that social media is not an annex to your headspace. Eventually, someone will see it. And it will come back to bite you.

Dale-
It’s not she thinks it’s in her head, it’s that she’s been praised for that behavior up to now.
Every increasingly outrageous actions get more and more praise for being “daring” in saying things that get them nothing but positive feedback…until the wrong folks see it, and pay attention, and suddenly that “daring” and “brave” stuff actually gets a response BESIDES praise.

It’s sad. She’s still responsible for her actions, but it’s like the guy who went through school assaulting others, protected by the “fighting back means you’re both guilty” and a diagnosis of “emotional issues” (specifically, that he’s a career bully) getting out of school and engaging in his usual behavior– where the victim isn’t prevented from resisting, and where police actually arrest you for assault with a deadly.

First media narrative has already coalesced: apparently he was fleeing in such terror from a knife fight that he was unaware of where he was driving to and as such didn’t notice a full parade in front of him.

It’s a lame enough narrative that I doubt they run with it for more than a day or so. Then they’ll throw up an equally lame narrative, then they’ll probably change the focus from what happened to “broader issues” (ex. “would he be as hated for doing this if he was white, and what does that say about the structural racism of the nation?”) then they’ll drop it completely.

Pretty standard playbook at this point.

That’s true. So she kept pushing the envelope until she cheered children being crushed by a SUV. And because that’s still a no-no with her former employer, the praise stopped.

It was interesting that her first response was to blame “white wing” objectors for being offended by her edge. Because that probably worked just fine in the past.

I hope she takes some time to reflect on how she got to this moment and plot a new course. If only for her children.

Update number 2:

Brooks was granted $1000 bail after being charged with trying to deliberately run over a woman.

But at least the DA was gentlemanly enough to admit it was “inappropriately low.”

She professes to be the single mother of two children. I believe she is Mary Nell Lemanski (née Dougherty), b. January 1975. In the past, and perhaps still, she has resided at a 4 bedroom, 2,200 sq foot house in Downer’s Grove, Illinois that Redfin estimates should sell for $656,000. The Redfin photo of the front façade includes in the frame a mess of political lawn signs in the foreground. They are Democratic signs touting candidates who were on the ballot in November 2018, so one might infer she’s lived there fairly recently. IOW, she’s 46 years old and been occupying a dwelling worth something in excess of 60% in excess of that of the average owner-occupied house in these United States. One of the previous occupants is as we speak a VP at Northern Trust.

Épater les bourgeois or whatever.

The DA in Milwaukee County is the husband of a quondam teachers’ union official who invested a ton of manpower into the abusive ‘John Doe’ investigation of people associated with Gov. Scott Walker. The appellate courts of Wisconsin, by the thinnest of margins, shut those investigations down. He’s much too busy to attend to Darrell Brooks and the like.

The most heart-rending report on this matter was of those witnesses who reported all the children weeping immediately after this horrorific event: All those poor kids who were excited about the parade, Thanksgiving coming, and the charm and wonder of Christmas—and then this happens to them.

So wrong. What a beast.
