Liberal religion is a brief way station on the path to no religion. A religion that is basically a repackaging in a religious wrapper of the popular superstitions and intellectual prejudices of the time can save no one and ultimately its devotees, correctly, perceive it to be a complete waste of good sleeping time on Sunday morning. Catholicism will outlast the gates of Hell. This new religion won’t outlast the twenty-first century. Catholicism will endure, but it is going to be a rock strewn path, most placed there by a suicidal “leadership”.
Amen

Yes, Traditional Catholicism will remain after Vatican II Catholicism becomes fully Communistic and atheistic.

The future of the Church, once again as always, will be reshaped by saints, by men, that is, whose minds probe deeper than the slogans of the day, who see more than others see, because their lives embrace a wider reality. Unselfishness, which makes men free, is attained only through the patience of small daily acts of self-denial. By this daily passion, which alone reveals to a man in how many ways he is enslaved by his own ego, by this daily passion and by it alone, a man’s eyes are slowly opened. He sees only to the extent that he has lived and suffered. If today we are scarcely able any longer to become aware of God, that is because we find it so easy to evade ourselves, to flee from the depths of our being by means of the narcotic of some pleasure or other. Thus our own interior depths remain closed to us. If it is true that a man can see only with his heart, then how blind we are!
It is true that we are the Church.
So many people do not have faith, understanding of the power of forgiveness or a love for God.
When they encounter you they are stepping into Church and for some it will be the very first time.
Working with the young, twentysomething, the concept of Christianity is misunderstood or nonexistent altogether.
Fr. Ratzinger spoke of the smaller church to come. My blindness can’t perceive a larger, successful Church of Christ coming from Rome…not in this era. Maybe that’s my egotistical attitude.
All I do know for certain is that I must engage in self denial, in living that daily passion as to help add living stones to help build up His Living Church.
Otherwise, how can I receive Him throughout the week if it’s only for my personal consolation? What good is my Faith if it doesn’t accompany works? And what good are works if they are not completely united in correct intention and fully undertaken in His power since nothing I do on my own will be fruitful for His Kingdom.
Only in Him, with Him and for Him will His Church enjoy the blessings He pours forth to His adopted children.
Comrade Bergoglio, aka Pope Francis, is doing his best to ensure that the decline of the Church is a feature and not a bug. He won’t succeed, but that won’t stop him from trying. Pride is not the original sin for nothing.
