…ignoring reality style…” At this point, it is a full on lifestyle. The Left thinks they actually are the authors of reality. That they can speak things into existence. After all, we have allowed them to believe they have such power. I mean, a man is a woman if the Left simply says so. And, even the few who correct them “to their face”, such as Fr. Altman, are quickly cut down by our supposed side. Well, enough. Christ said many things, but two of them stand out right now. He said he is the way, the TRUTH and the life, and no one goes to the Father except through him. He also said that if you do not acknowledge him before men, he will not acknowledge you before the Father. Putting those two things together, we have to acknowledge TRUTH before men. Well, no more beating around the bush. We are called to be clear. The stakes simply are too high.
The late John Roche maintained in his column that John McCormick was the most decent of men. Henry Fairlie maintained that Sam Rayburn was able to comprehend changed circumstances and educate his party. (Fairlie’s description of Tip O’Neill’s years in the Speaker’s chair was “the years the seed corn was et”). Carl Albert had an impressive start in life (and a drinking problem by the time he was in the Speaker’s chair). Newt Gingrich (and Paul Ryan on alternate Tuesdays) had a lively intelligence and Gingrich had some understanding of how to turn the tables on the media. Aside from the anomaly of having a partisan act as presiding officer, what gets you about the Speakers we’ve had since 1976 is what a claque of mediocrities they all were. (I think Tom Foley might have qualified as someone who wasn’t vicious and could make and keep to deals). Pelosi manages to be the worst of the bunch. I feel like returning to Baltimore to visit her father’s grave so I can bellow “Heckuva job, you old grafteur” at the headstone.

What on earth makes Pelosi and her minions who wrote this fatuous nonsense think that the taliban are interested in averting bloodshed. If she’d been paying attention these past twenty years, she’d have noticed that those animals hold the lives of their political opposition (and any human life, in fact) very cheaply indeed.
Our nation is being run by stupid, corrupt, unserious people.

Perfect title for this post. Talk about out of touch & tone-deaf. The women will suffer, but anyone LBGTQ will be 1st in line for the beheadings. I also doubt the Taliban are very “pro-choice”. Maybe that will wake up sleepy Joe and the Dems?
