When mankind is about to step off a deep precipice the silliness and selfishness of the elites purportedly leading a society often come into dramatic focus.
That our so-called ‘elites’ are increasingly dishonest, feckless and incompetent isn’t news— but it would be if journalists did their job.
Glen Greenwald is a voice crying in the wilderness. Too many of his peers in media are throne-sniffers who get a tingle up their leg when they see fascism.
Consider all the things our so-called ‘journalists’ ignored or got wrong just this past year: the riots that were called ‘mostly peaceful’, the rise of antifa ( just an idea, not an organization), the incoherent response to covid by various government agencies, the fraud surrounding the recent election and the censorship of its discussion— all of these stories were huge, and all were laundered to protect and serve our elites by a lapdog media.
When journalism falls to the depths ours has, decadent ‘elites’ are inevitable. This won’t end well.
