Now the Big Guy in White wants to be part of the cool kids club and will go right along with the socialist/communist march to Hell. More reason to silence the outspoken priests like Fr James Altman while J. Martin can continue to be adored for his tolerance.
It’s a reasonable understanding of separation of powers that the Capitol Police is properly limited to the properties in the possession of the U.S. Congress (all a small segment of DC) and perhaps traveling dignitary protection, and that’s it. Placing offices in Los Angeles and Miami amounts to a usurpation of the executive function.
I’m not too anxious about this bar that they report to Congress, and Congress is a collecting pool of people of little integrity. We can see from their performance on 6 January that it’s an underperforming agency. The Clouseaus and Keystone Kops in that outfit are likely not much of a threat to anyone; with satisfactory leadership, they might be a threat, but, remember, they work for Nancy Pelosi. (Julie Kelly has been making the case that if we ever jimmy the security camera videos out of the agency, they’ll reveal that the activity outside the building was in essence what the left calls a ‘police riot’. Our odious ‘Justice’ Department has been playing games in court to keep these videos from being released).
