Thirty-two years since Tiananmen Square on June 4. One day China will be free.

I just hope I live to see it, Don.
Them and North Korea are long overdue.
Despite the hype, Communist China cannot compete with America either militarily or economically. They are on borrowed time brought on by the one-child policy & the lack of maturity in their economic growth.
A democratic China, on the other hand, would make them almost an equal to the U.S., but that is to be determined.
The next 15-20 years is critical for China. If the Communist Party can keep control during this age of upheaval around the world, they will still be in control, but China will not be a superpower.
My bet is on a successful coup attempt by the inner circle that will implement democratic reforms of a bicameral parliament & popular election for President.
They say the democracy only works within a Western culture, but looking at India, South Korea, Japan, & Taiwan deflates the argument utterly.
A united China may be impossible, but a Democratic truncated China would be infinitely better than what they have now which is Hell on Earth.
Love the map – West Taiwan.
