Due to its one-child policy, China has an excess of males. Gotta do something with all that testosterone.

Don’t know what effect it will have, but they do have a surplus of men – an excess of 43 million among those under 45.

Human trafficking must have quotas to fill. [?] An endless amount of [men] consumers to help drive the horrible trade in China.

I wonder how many women are marketed overseas without their consent?

Countries are more prone to warfare when there’s a large preponderance of males. Unfortunately I don’t remember the source. That the Chinese practice sex selection is nothing new: The nuns in my mother’s grade school used to ask the girls to bring in tin foil t used in packaging cheese and chocolate for the Catholic missions and orphanages in China. Balls of the shiny foil were used to trade for female infants whom otherwise would be left on the road side to die.

It always starts with “we just want women to have a chance to join, but they must pass the same standards” and inevitably turns into “since women are not passing the same standards those standards are sexist and must be removed.”

It’s the Army.

There’s an extremely good chance that whatever standards they have are based off of absolutely anything but making sure people are able to physically perform the duties they are assigned.

Not that the Navy is immune, but the folks I know who were kicked out because they were perfectly healthy but needed both a BMI waiver and a waist waiver…because the dudes looked like body builders… does not make the Army look good.

For those wondering– yes, I was in the Navy, as a woman, and I pissed off several supervisors by doing “too much” for the PRT, because I made sure I would’ve gotten a passing score if I was male.
The only part that gave me issues, ever, was sit-ups.

In other Trump related news, turns out the Washington Post (unsurprsingly) completely misrepresented the President’s call to election officials:

(Archive because they change their articles without warning).

Note that their defense for this is that they put a notice on an over two-month old article that few people will reread. And while they updated the article to remove false direct quotes, it still makes claims that President Trump made the call “in an attempt to subvert President-elect Joe Biden’s victory” and so on. No change to the narrative even when the evidence changes.

Someday reporters will be jailed.

Someday saboteurs will be jailed.
In many instances they are one in the same.
