We, in the ages lying,
In the buried past of the earth,
Built Nineveh with our sighing,
And Babel itself in our mirth;
And o’erthrew them with prophesying
To the old of the new world’s worth;
For each age is a dream that is dying,
Or one that is coming to birth.
Ode, Arthur O’Shaughnessy
Or in the immortal words of Andrew Breitbart uttered three weeks before his untimely death:
“And what the Left has stood for with political correctness is to try to get those with whom they disagree to shut up. And the tea party movement and Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman and Allen West and all the people that have gone out there against the mainstream media and said ‘You’re gonna call us racist, you’re gonna call us potential Timothy McVeighs?
F***. You.
War.”
Trump has shown us our strength and we are not backing down an iota.
Amen! Onward.
Saw that over at Instapundit myself, and I tend to agree with those commenters there who think that as long as the elites control the levers of power, they don’t need prestige, let alone respect, to keep the deplorables in their place.
Elites are always safe and secure until they aren’t, and it is always a bad sign for them when they resort to whips instead of persuasion.
