I’ve liked every Mormon I’ve met, but their theology has all the historical validity of The Force from Star Wars. Joseph Smith was a born con man with a wild imagination, and the Mormon faith was his greatest con. Having said that, the Pentagon placing the Mormons as a separate category is a fight this nation does not need.

There’s about 18 million of them. We are losing 8 catholics for each one gained. Maybe we should send our teenagers out on door-to-door “missions” with holy water. When they come to my door, I feed them, give them drinks, and then tell them if I could just touch those plates that have been lost, I’ll convert. Imagine what carbon dating of them would tell us.
