Dialogue Uber Alles

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

VATICAN CITY — Pope Leo issued a forceful condemnation of the Allied Forces resorting to violence instead of simply talking things out with the Nazis.

The Pope warned that stability and peace in places like Nazi-occupied France could never occur through the use of weapons, but only through thoughtful dialogue with Hitler.

“We must not stoop to violence against Nazis,” said Pope Leo in a general address. “When the Nazis loaded millions of people into gas chambers, that was the time for sincere dialogue. If only the Allied Powers had laid down their weapons and just hugged it out with Nazis, peace could have returned once more.”

Several Vatican aides attempted to point out that the Allied Powers actually did achieve a lasting stability and peace by militarily defeating the Nazis, but to no avail.

“No, that’s impossible,” continued Pope Leo. “Throughout history, murderous dictators have only been defeated by people getting together and chatting. Some say that they tried diplomacy with Hitler, that it failed completely, and resulted in millions of people dying. To those people, I would simply ask, ‘Why are you such an evil person who loves killing?'”

Go here to read the rest.  In theory nations may go to war for a just cause under the doctrine of the Church.  I say in theory.  The teaching in this area is like national borders.  In theory nations may have national borders per the teaching of the Church.  In practice under Francis and his clone, the Church constantly calls for open borders and embraces pacifism with a suicidal passion.  Too often this Iowahawk quote about the Left is true of the Church in many areas:

1. Identify a respected institution. 2. kill it. 3. gut it. 4. wear its carcass as a skin suit, while demanding respect.

The only thing missing was more talk of “the Merchants of Death” or arms manufacturers being responsible for the war.

All of what Francis did and Leo & Appointees are doing is to change praxis. (The process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied, realized, applied, or put into practice.)
Not Actual Teaching.

Very strange, and very Leftist.

Talking with the violent followers of the prophet is useless.
USA has tried that with no success since 23OCT1983. That’s long enough IMHO.
The Pope thinks otherwise but popes never have any skin in this violent game.
Meanwhile, back at Rome, the criminal molester Marko Rupnik is free to move about the city…still.

“Discussion is a most excellent means to avoid decision. The disciples on the way to Emmaus were talking, debating, discussing about happenings, but they missed Christ (Luke 24: 13-25). Discussions never obliged religious or priests to open their wounds to Christ, but only to reveal their points of view to one another. Whenever our Lord spoke about His Cross, the apostles discussed and dialogued. Interest revolved around renewal-centered novelties in liturgy, the size of the host, communion in the hand, and the dress of nuns, but not in Christification of the Spirit. Dare we expose our wounds to Him even though He is the Physician? WE shrink from His demands of sacrifice we want healing without pain, knowledge without study, love without sacrifice.”

If you look at the Just War Theory, its conditions are judgment calls, therefore subjective.

David WS: Christ was very critical of the Scribes and Pharisees because they didn’t practice what they preached. He took them to task in His woes in Matthew 23. He also denounced their practice of Corban in Mark 7.

“Dialogue” is a dirty word.

Interesting that, for all his interminable gassing on about dialogue, this Pope refused a request to speak out about the Chinese government’s treatment of the Church, its installation of bishops without consulting Rome, and its persecution of the faithful there.

I’d love to think that this Holy Father is just keeping a prudent silence whilst pursuing a resolution with the Chinese regime; but as there’s no evidence that the Holy See is making any such attempts to improve its position with China, then Occam’s Razor leaves us with the simplest explanation: the Vatican has abandoned the Catholics of China and the Pope is inconvenienced by questions about his hypocrisy and failure.

Good point Clinton! I notice ¡Lio! has repeatedly refused to ‘dialogue‘ with the SSPX as well, finally sending Cardinal Tucho “Heal Me With Your Mouth” Fernández to handle it … Talk about handing your son a snake when he asks for a fish!
