When one becomes too cynical about clerics, recall those who walked the walk, as well as talked the talk. Go here to read the story.
The Saving Grace for Clerics
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
A good reminder for me, Donald, given my disgust and contempt for the clerics in the USCCB and the Vatican.
OT but is Caccia a finger in the eye of Trump by Pope Francis II?
I have known so many good clerics, including a few quirky ones, that it is sad and shameful that a few bad ones cast such a long dark shadow.
Donald Link: I remember one good quote from Pope Francis … I know, but it’s true!
He said: “A tree falling makes a lot more noise than a forest growing.”
… Of course, all that noise frightens away a lot of potential converts, but I still liked the quote.
Francis probably heard it from someone very smart, like AB Brainiac (sp) up there.
CAG:
One must listen to the forest trees growing. It is the hymn of the universe…and the grass…
