Shouted by the Pope when he served as a legate of Pope Leo the Great at the Second Council of Ephesus in 449, named the Robbers Council by Pope Leo in an attempt to halt the proceedings. It proclaimed that Christ had one nature. Its proceedings were annulled by the Council of Chalcedon in 451. Saint Hilary was lucky to escape from the Robbers Council with his life.
