Street Thug

Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

Just like Renee Nicole Good, another deranged lunatic motivated and incited by liberal progressive leftist ideology. Sad, very sad. Now both of them know in the afterlife that they died for nothing but a demonicly inspired evil.
Many confused & tortured souls believe that unlike all other nations the US should not have a border accepting anyone who walks in…. that they are morally superior in thinking this way….. and that anyone who enforces the US Border is Pure Evil.
This “belief” has been fostered by enemies foreign and domestic, by big businesses seeking cheap labor, by “studies” in colleges and universities and by a political party looking to gain a constituency to replace those it’s lost.
We all need to do a better job (especially the President’s Administration) in explaining why the US like any other nation needs a border and follow the money that either promotes no borders and/or gains from it.
(This film dissection, while important, is ultimately a distraction from the core problem.)
I wouldn’t call him a ‘street thug’. He was, however, damaged goods. Renee Ganger was a woman who had lived a disorderly life and instead of working to establish order in that life she was off on another jag, this one with a political dimension. The same can be said of Pretti, though his problems in living were rather more common and more attributable to his matrix. You’ll notice he was a child of affluence, that he manifested mild inter-generational downward mobility, that he entered a feminine occupation, that he had a long meander through his young adult years (nursing license issued at age 33), that he married late, and that his marriage imploded after around 15 months. He had more options at age 37 than women of that age do, but the probability of finding someone tolerable to be a mother to his children was declining at about the same rate as the hair on the top of his head was receding . So, what does he do? Crazy sh!t to prevent illegal aliens from being arrested and deported. Because reasons.
I would have thought that destruction of federal property would have gotten me arrested, yet Pretti goes on his way without even a write up? Can anyone shed light on this?

The old teacher credits “delusions of significance” in swollen egos of people of small talent, nurtured by years of bad parenting and education, crowing about “make a difference” and “the most important person in the whole wide world is you and you hardly even know you”. Most of us are not and never will be significant (in any way we may see) beyond a small circle of family, friends and community. In olden times when people had these things (along with Christian humility) they didn’t try to make a name for themselves by some public drama. As family, friendships, community and humility have disappeared, what is left to such small souls but notoriety?
I recognize the reference. It was a jingle on Sesame Street ca. 1970. I remember thinking it bizarre at the time.

He grew up in an intact family in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His mother and father married at age 24, produced their first child at age 26 and their second at age 31. It’s a reasonable wager his education at the hands of this mother and father was deficient in various ways as people are not omniscient and mess things up as a matter of course. And, of course, his mother and father were confronting peer cultures quite different from those my grandmother was confronting eighty years ago.
”he entered a feminine occupation, that he had a long meander through his young adult years (nursing license issued at age 37″.
Actually Pretti’s license was issued at age 33.
Art Deco, your comment seemed to be a sneer about men becoming Registered Nurses. In today’s world calling the nursing profession a feminine occupation is out dated.
There are plenty of male nurses or murses as some like to be called. They are not just in the military but practice in civil hospitals as well.
I noted in my comment that his license was issued at age 33. Not sure how you read that as ’37’.

I’m content to be outdated.

Sneering is not my hobby.

What I saw looking at Pretti was that his life had an inchoate quality that would have been quite unusual among my parents’ contemporaries and atypical among my own. I don’t think that’s all that unusual among his contemporaries today. I think it’s a worthy line of inquiry as to ask what might be at work in his mind that while devoting perhaps a decade considering an occupation he settles on one where he will be emulating and taking orders from women (while in a setting where the bulk of his patients will be men). And to whom is he furiously antagonistic? Cops.

I’d suggest you look at his sister’s anguished remarks about her brother. She sounds like she’s describing a sister, not a brother.

One thing I notice about discussion of ICE is that their detractors are unwilling to acknowledge what the agency’s mission is or tell you what the alternatives the envision to the agency executing that mission. (Some also hallucinate about ICE agents as human beings). They’re not going to tell you what they want in plain terms because (a) they cannot defend it or (b) they never gave it any thought. It’s emotions-driven. You can see in videos what that looked like in his case.
Better “murses” than dental guygienists 😀
To be fair, if male nurses want to use a different name to describe themselves, doesn’t that imply they see nursing as a typically female profession?
CAG, One would have to ask some of them.
guygienists 🙂
