One of the more interesting Appellate arguments that I have seen. The closer you look at the Tina Peters’ conviction, the worse that it appears, and this is before it begins its trek through Federal appellate review. Small wonder that Governor Polis of Colorado, a Democrat, is considering commuting her sentence.

Sounds a little like the 34 criminal counts against a certain president in New York. With a constant drum beat of the hostile media and the pervasiveness of social media you’d need a change of venue to the Moon to try and find a fair jury (even though I think most juries do their best to try and follow the law and instructions). After all, this is the same place that elected a communist as mayor. When you add prosecutorial and judicial misconduct, you get the same evil brew as the Salem witch trials.
Before I read this, I had no idea of this case.
Then again, in my decades of availability no one has decided they wanted ME on a jury!
