They heard Bing Crosby sing about snow around Christmas too many times and irrationally inferred ???

As we all realize, the USCCB is a religious front store for those Democrats who have hijacked the Catholic hierarchy in the United States. Just browsing through the USCCB web site (which I have avoided for years now) reveals the usual racist, environmentalist, feminist ideology. This is all caused or allowed by a corrupt Vatican sitting atop the failed Vatican Council II which must be repudiated and rejected in toto. My advice: unless your parish is authentically orthodox, not one red cent to anything Novus Ordo Katholyck. Kwanzaa! What feaking racist asininity!

Another piece of evidence in the file toward the proposition that the church-o-cracy is indistinguishable in its attitudes from those of a body of randomly selected NGO employees and that such is as true of the Church as it is of protestant denomination. The USCCB should be shut down and its employees discharged. Conscientious bishops should ignore it except for efforts to liquidate it. Diocesan staff should consist of field employees who provide services to clusters of parishes, of common and garden support staff personnel, of a webmaster and a few PR staff, of a corps of auditors, and of a few others who commonly have work elsewhere to do. People in the chancery with collars or habits should be limited to the bishop, the auxilliaries, the vocations promoter, and (perhaps) the tribunal. While we’re at it, can the bishop go on circuit? The rector can handle services at the cathedral.

I agree with shutting down the USCCB… Too many bad stories in my experience to enumerate, but if the United States *has* to have an “Episcopal Conference” (love that Vatican bureaucrat-ese), it should be an ad hoc meeting of bishops hosted by someone. 3211 4th St should be sold to the Dominican House next door…OR torn down and the land salted.

Josh, I vote for the salt option.

Never forget that the “U” in USCCB stands for “useless”

If you do forget, though, just pay attention to it for 5 minutes- and you’ll remember!

If anyone here has any doubts about the accuracy of LQC’s description of the USCCB as a “religious front store” for Democrats, just Google “Wendy Davis & Ralph McCloud”.

In a nutshell, Davis and McCloud, both Democrats, served as city councilors in Fort Worth, Texas. Wendy Davis went on to unseat a pro-life Texas State Senator and became nationally famous as “Abortion Barbie”, staging a thirteen-hour filibuster and successfully blocking pro life legislation in the Texas Senate.

At that time, Ralph McCloud had gone from Texas public office to head the USCCB’s Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Because of the national attention surrounding Abortion Barbie, it was revealed that while he was employed by the USCCB and was directing its CCHD, he was simultaneously serving as campaign treasurer for the notoriously pro-abortion State Senator Wendy Davis.

McCloud was not sacked from his position at the USCCB, and in fact continued to serve as the director of CCHD for another ten years, until April of 2024.

The USCCB is actually worse than useless.
