Tina Peters, a gold star mother, made the mistake of calling a spade a spade as to the 2020 stolen election in a blue state, Colorado, and drawing a Judge who loathed her politics and, incredibly, viewed her as an on-going menace to the public. She also made the mistake of using her opportunity of allocution, the defendant’s right to address the court just before sentencing, to defend herself. In my experience defendants should waive their opportunity or use it to say how sorry they are. Anything else never, and I mean never, does any good.
In many ways Peters is an unsympathetic figure, abrasive and conspiracy minded, but the law should not be used to “get” people simply because of personality flaws and because they reside in a state controlled by the opposing political party.

The judiciary have forfeited their claim to deference.
Nine years in prison.
When do many people who pose a real, recidivist threat to the public roam free.
What is our society’s idea behind incarceration?
If it is to protect the public, this sentence is unnecessary. If it is to cause regret for her actions, it may have effect, but at the cost of losing a cell that is needed to house a person physically dangerous to society.
In our digital age, I think house arrest could be substituted in many cases with little difference in the penitential nature. Stone walls do not a prison make.
The Eighth Amendment prohibits “cruel and unusual punishments” which are unconstitutional. The judge ought to be removed from the bench for violating our Constitution…and for not knowing our Constitution. This is America, not the American gulag.
I cannot say here what I would do.
The innocent little ones are martyred because perfect innocence is the standard of Justice for all people. The Immaculate Conception, the perfect innocence of the Mother of God, Jesus Christ Who rules the people with an “iron rod”. The “iron rod” are the laws of nature, which cannot be altered or destroyed without horrendous repercussions. The martyrs, Miguel Pro, Maximillian Kolbe, all the martyrs who have given their very lives to maintain their innocence.
Their innocence is the standard of Justice for all people.
And the slaughter of the innocent ones continues as the devil rules the world.
Jesus said that to scandalize one of these little ones is to deserve a millstone about the neck in the depths of the sea. Every martyr, every victim is scandalized by the crime committed against them.
If people want Justice, people must protect the innocent little ones in their midst.
Judges who do not know the Law of the Land, our Constitution need to be removed from the bench. Compensation for ignorance is evil.
Penguins Fan:
Send the ignorant judges to Guantanamo until they learn our Constitution. This is the least that we can do if we want truth and Justice.
Illegal imprisonment is a crime against Justice.
Mary, I think more than half of the judiciary would be locked up in Guantanamo.
