December 1, 1581: Saint Edmund Campion Goes to God

Prior to his execution by being drawn and quartered, Campion proclaimed:

“I am a Catholic man and a priest; in that faith have I lived and in that faith I intend to die. If you esteem my religion as treason, then I am guilty; as for other treasons, I never committed any, God is my judge”.

Men and women like him, in all ages, are the true treasure of the Church.

Faith is a gift from God. Practicing one’s Faith is religious freedom, freedom of speech, press and peaceable assembly. God gave man free will and therefore freedom. God made man free.
We have no better citizens that the martyrs.
Blessed be God in His angels and in His saints.

And might I add all of the martyrs for the Faith who lived to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass.
