Why is Marko Rupnik still free to move about the land?
Like so many things at the Vatican, this is a farce.

Rupnik merits far greater punishment than a slap on the hand.

The cat video above must have been developed by Artificial Intelligence, speaking of which: I had to do a minor revision of the AI Technology Control Plan that I wrote for Neutrons’R Us because the Regulator has endorsed a new nuclear QA standard that we need to follow. There’s a highly placed feminist in leadership on review who would not provide comments in the electronic database as everyone else did; instead, she went to my leadership and asked for a change (with which surprisingly I actually agreed). During the month long review process, she refused to respond to repeated requests for comments, whether sent by email, text message, or voice mail, even though everyone else – some highly placed themselves – responded. 35 year old feminists hate having to respond to old white men with 50 years of nuclear experience. BTW, there were other women (and men) on review. Not one acted that way except for her. And my boss yesterday told me I did a fantastic job (there were over a half dozen other plans and procedures which I had to revise for this new QA standard, too; all submitted on time). But my boss is like me: an old white man with 50 years of experience. We’re a dying breed, guys, whatever our industry is, and these young mentally lazy liberal progressives think that they can get AI to do all their thinking for them. They need some serious time cleaning the engine forward bilge on a nuclear powered submarine.

Now it’s time for my morning exercise session on the rowing machine. God is neverthless always good.

I was blessed to be with a group of seminarians last night. One said, with a knowing smile, that the other was from a Jesuit high school, but that the other seminarians didn’t hold it against him.

Made me smile on the inside to hear that. These men seem to get it.

Open thread question:
Has your parish / diocese held any event that has young men in particular or parishoners in general interact with current seminarians? If so, what shape did it take?
The event my son and I attended had the bishop, a half dozen seminarians, and the vocations director. The bishop was wordy, the prayer service banal, the vocations director kinda effeminate, but the seminarians were very encouraging. We were allowed to converse with them over supper and each gave a 5 minute speech. Wish they would have talked more and the bishop talked less. They were the real meat of the evening.

The Administration should inform federal judges that people in this country illegally will not be released when apprehended, bar when they’re shoved over the border.

Bruised, we had an event recently, I think it was for teenage boys of our parish and school. I don’t know any more about it.

“On November 12, 2025, and for the first time in 12 years, the U.S. bishops issued a Special Message addressing their concern for the evolving situation impacting immigrants in the United States. “

Finally US Bishops speaking out… not on sodomitic marriage or transgenderism which irreparably harm society and the young, but to conflate illegal with legal… immigration.

Latin Mass, kneelers, Rupnik, Mediatrix, gay couple blessings… it’s all interrelated.

Trump wants to paint the EOB in Washington. It’s not a handsome building, but I don’t think it will benefit from paint.

Donald Trump is better at being president than he ever was at being a business man. Change my mind.

Trump was like a KT event, vaporizing the last prospects of the old Ward Cleaver/Joe Friday lookalike dinosaurs of the Republican Party, and their 2028 primaries are likely to feature a much younger generation of contenders. The Democrat megafauna (Pelosi, Schumer) still stumble around the landscape, successors uncertain, but likely with very localized appeal and near-zero national experience (and if experienced, with near-zero successes of which to boast).

The Infinite Supreme Sovereign Being, the three Persons of God in the Holy Trinity, each have an intimate and personal relationship with each and every human being ever created from Adam until the end of time.
God is perfect love. Jesus Christ is true God and true man. God loves His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the love Who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
God enables every man to achieve perfection and be in total possession of Who he is. There will be no room for stupidity.
Not today Satan.

My mom was sent home a week ago Friday. She has been in good spirits. She has a retired nurse friend staying with her for a while.

I have heard no more about her cancer. What I have read is that what she has is the result of it spreading from elsewhere. I have accepted what is to be. I am sure it will hurt more as things progress.

To.say I am disappointed in Pope Leo XIV is a blatant understatement. I can get VERY angry and my thoughts about Cupich, McElroy, Martin, Weissberger and all who shove that miserable TC down the throats of the faithful cannot be placed here. Good thing we don’t worship bishops.

Does anyone else see a kind of Molotov-Ribbentrop thing going on with Ukraine these days?
