This is the problem with lifetime appointments. It removes any accountability. It’s a problem in our political environment and in the church. if you want to see this in action, just look to see how many federal judges have been impeached and removed. In the history of the United States, only 15 have been impeached and only eight of those were convicted.
And McCarrick continues to live without sanction.
McCarrick is dead, but those who covered up for him have been largely rewarded, even in their “punishments”.
No changes seen… The USCCB issued a “Special Message” on Immigration from Plenary Assembly in Baltimore… “immigrants” are cited over and over again but not the word “illegal”. If a person breaks into my house, should that person be described as a “visitor”?
If one wants an honest discussion on what to do about the millions of illegal immigrants in this country, perhaps issuing green cards to those who are honest, you have to start by using honest phrases. Treat these persons who entered illegally with dignity, not grandstanding.
