The Faith in the modern world to chatting is impervious both to evidence and logic.

I’m not sure what the aim is here. Do Buddhists, Hindus and Muslims invite the Holy Father to their Headquarters for dialogue? And would he go? Yeah I didn’t think so. I wish there was more transparency as to who is running the show atm.
This is a test. My previous comment did not appear and a popup screen said it is awaiting approval.
New paths appear … But, to where?
But now, Lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing a new commandment but the one we have had from the beginning: let us love one another.
For this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning, in which you should walk.
Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh; such is the deceitful one and the antichrist.
Look to yourselves that you do not lose what we worked for but may receive a full recompense.
Anyone who is so “progressive” as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son.
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him in your house or even greet him; for whoever greets him shares in his evil works.
1 John 5-11
Endless “dialogue” and “unity.. unity.. unity” above all else, is just an another way of saying,
, as Pontius Pilate did ..
“what is truth?”
I shall try to post my comment again: I am sick and tired of hearing about dialogue and ecumenism from these Vatican II clerics. Elijah didn’t dialogue with the 450 false prophets of Baal. Jehu didn’t dialogue with King Ahab’s pagan descendants, nor with the Baal worshippers in the Northern Kingdom (though Hosea did say he went a bit too far). Jehoiada didn’t dialogue with pagan Phoenician Athaliah, daughter of Jezebel, nor with Mattan the priest of Baal in the Southern Kingdom.
Yes, let Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, etc. worship as they see fit in peace, but NO DIALOGUE! Christus solus est Rex! I expect an authentically Catholic Pope to call all of us to repent and amend our lives (me especially) because the Kingdom of God is at hand. That’s his primary job in being a good and faithful Shepherd, not this liberal progressive Democrat nonsense from Chicago fused with liberation theology heresy from that cesspool in South America.
Post awaiting approval again! Argh!
Ecumenism should exist for the sole purpose of understanding where the other person is in the process of getting them to understand the fullness of Truth. Christ didn’t dialog with the Pharisses. He taught, argued, chided, and corrected them. The Vaticanistas are a bunch of dithering bureaucrats by comparison.
I have never been onboard with this whole “dialogue” thing. The Church’s one job is to proclaim the Truth of Jesus Christ and don’t worry if it offends anyone.
“Discussion is a most excellent means to avoid decision. The disciples on the way to Emmaus were talking, debating, discussing about happenings, but they missed Christ (Luke 24: 13-25). Discussions never obliged religious or priests to open their wounds to Christ, but only to reveal their points of view to one another. Whenever our Lord spoke about His Cross, the apostles discussed and dialogued. Interest revolved around renewal-centered novelties in liturgy, the size of the host, communion in the hand, and the dress of nuns, but not in Christification of the Spirit. Dare we expose our wounds to Him even though He is the Physician? WE shrink from His demands of sacrifice we want healing without pain, knowledge without study, love without sacrifice.”
~ Bishop Fulton Sheen (Those Mysterious Priests)
When you don’t want to discuss Humanae Vitae (being right!) and you do want to discuss:
Same-sex relationships and women priests…
There is a need for “dialogue”.
And to make it sanctimonious.
“Dialogue” is a dirty word.
The four letter word used for, well, poop, was used all too common by my mother. Truth is, it’s a useful word. One may use that word to express wonder, awe, disappointment, amazement, anger, disagreement, frustration and it is a very useful adjective.
Dialogue, however, is totally useless. Anyone who uses this word seriously should be locked up in a SCP (Secure, Contain, Protect) facility….or be boiled in oil.
