I wonder if the Pope gets some of his sentiments from crappy felt Church banners? Definitely getting early 70s vibes from the man. Him being a clone of Francis the Worst may be a best case analysis.

What we really need is a Church that knows right from wrong and shouts that truth to the world from the rooftops!
I swear, it’s like someone has swapped out his frankincense for patchouli!
The Pope is a Chicago Democrat who spent his formative years as a cleric in the liberation theology of a cesspool country in Latin America. I had hoped that with his intelligence he would be better than Jorge the Heretic, but apparently not.
Truth means nothing?
“No one” has answers?
Not “judgement”, all (everything) is welcome?
Listening to everyone and what they may say is “divine”?
A church as a raft drifting aimlessly, and not The Ark of Salvation?
All this talk is dressed up as humility, but it’s really John Lennon’s “Imagine”.
Hmmm, the spineless, effeminate church of Leo.
Strong young men want nothing to do with this word salad garbage.
I find what is insulting to my intellect (and faith) is all the half-truths spoken in this little soliloquy of the Pope.
It reminds me of how often Francis the KS would speak of the “field hospital” analogy of the Church, without *ever* mentioning that not everyone who enters the field hospital leaves alive.
“Let us build a church…”? Thought Christ was the builder, sir. Or is that thought too…judgy?
Felt banners. That made me laugh. And all those saccharinely sweet hippie songs.
Pope AI. I’m going to use that one.
“we” must dream of and build a more humble church..
-definitely John Lennon’s “Imagine”, but John wasn’t a heretic because he was neither a shepherd nor a catholic.
I remember the felt.
And the burlap.
And the artwork Sister Corita Kent.
And the lyrics of Bob Dylan songs, sung at Mass.
Even as a child, it all seemed out of place to me.
But I also remember, “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” John 16:33.
I admit that I was fooled when Pope Leo was elected, I thought he was an “American Cardinal”. I should have trusted the evidence, that there was no way someone with an American outlook was going to be given any power by Pope Francis. Instead, Pope Francis knew he was helping the career of someone with a pure South American outlook, his outlook. It is becoming increasingly clear that Pope Francis outlook is what the Cardinals wanted to continue, and it looks like they got their wish with Pope Leo.
***But I also remember, “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” John 16:33.***
Amen Amen Amen
Leo is also blaténtly pro-homo. He recently praised a known pedophile as a great priest. Go to Mundabor’s blog, read his post, and have your barf bag ready.
“a Church that is entirely synodal”
No.
Beat me with your crosier all you want – the answer is still “no.”
My Lord is not subject to *anything* – especially your petty, worldly, arrogant, insipid parliaments.
I want to see how he handles the Transalpine Redemptorists who have basically gone Archbishop Lefebvre (but in a very blunt way). They have published a letter repudiating AL, TC and FS and synods.
Pope Leo must be obtuse. The ex Ecclesia Dei groups will be next and the SSPX is going to ordain bishops. Yammering about the poor and synods when churches are closing….see seven churches in the eastern Pittsburgh suburbs closing…
Penguins Fan-
I hope the closures do not effect you much. Sad nevertheless 💔
This word salad pretty much repudiates the Great Commission:
*
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” (Matthew 28:16-20 RSVCE)
*
Too often it looks like the world’s authority outranks Christ’s in the eyes of the Synodal Church and that they act like the Church no longer has any teaching role to play. This word salad would have been right at home with the actions of King Solomon when he caved into his foreign wives and had his heart turned away from God. It sounds like there is nothing in the faith that is worth defending.
The Church Triumphant are the saints in heaven. The Militant are the souls on earth fighting the world, the devil and the flesh (all flesh), the Church Suffering are the poor souls in Purgatory waiting for their time in heaven.
The saints in heaven are the Church Triumphant…Triumphant forever and for eternity, always Triumphant. Does Pope Leo read The American Catholic? Tell Pope Leo that the Church Triumphant are Triumphant; no change, no sorrow, no sweat.
The Synod with laity is no synod, no matter how many adjectives and derivatives any Pope adds. No synod means no synod.
Pope Leo celebrated the Jubilee Mass for Synodality Teams Sunday. I was so embarrassed. They all abandoned Jesus on the altar to shake hands with some guy in their back. humility? No. ignorance. The tradition of Vatican II stinks.
Then there was a concert for all Religions. Yes. Give up your Catholic Faith and we will all be friends, ecumenical friends. It was the worst music I have ever heard.
Only the Catholic Church has Corpus Christi, Transubstantiation and The Sacrament of Penance and the Sacrament of Holy Orders. Other religions do not. This leaves great numbers of persons in the cold, dark reaches of coming hell. Do not go easily into that darkness.
How could the Pope teach about the Catholic Church and ignore the Church Triumphant? Beats me.
Our Lord rose from the dead. He stood upright and triumphant. Our Lord conquered and saved the world over sin. We betray Him, His suffering and death which He endured blameless for US, when we cower. No I will not lower my back to appease the untruths in this world. I will stand tall that Our Lord came and conquered.
