Me thinks your thoughts are… mysterious. 👀
***coffee up. It’s gonna be a busy day.😃
Clearly.
Yeah, I lack the ability to see the thought.
thoughtless
Now that I can see it, I wish I hadn’t.🙈
Philip, it’s still thoughtless! 😉
(in my home gym, burning time..) I watched in entirety the International Conference “Raising Hope for Climate Justice,” October 1, 2025 where Pope Leo XIV blessed a block of ice… no real mention of Our Lord Jesus Christ.. only “lord” in a vague manner during the blessing.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (climate expert) gave a speech where he remarked on the “POWER of an org with 1.5 Billion members.. “ and how he/Arnold had “a hard time believing that he was standing on stage with a LIVE-ACTION-FIGURE (Leo)..”. Leo in his remarks stated that “you’re all live-action-figures”. And again, no real mention of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Your penance was pretty heavy.
Are you okay?😎
Philip, It was unsettling… but I “enjoy” confronting the devil. Not that this was that.. but I could see the influence…
When was the last time we heard a Pope exhorting the faithful to pray and work for the salvation of souls? The last one I can remember doing that was Benedict XVI. The institutional Church has lost its way, completely.
David, I don’t think that was a fair characterization. The blessing was simple and consistent with other blessings of objects I’ve heard:
“Lord of life, bless this water. May it awaken our hearts, cleanse our indifference, soothe our grief, and renew our hope. Through Christ our Lord.”
David.
Take Tim with you….if you go that route again.
Pinky, it’s blasphemy to “bless” a glacier.
Frank – From the same day, Leo addressing the Daughters of St. Paul:
“I am happy to share this moment with you, on the occasion of your General Chapter that you are celebrating, one hundred and ten years since the founding of your institute. I greet the new Superior General, as well as, with gratitude, the one who has concluded her service, and I welcome every one of you.
You come from all five continents, and this expresses the universality of the Church. Your mission, throughout many countries of the world, and the witness you offer in the most varied contexts, also attest to what the Holy Spirit has accomplished, starting from the prophetic insights of the founder, Blessed Giacomo Alberione, implemented fearlessly by the co-founder, the Venerable Tecla Merlo.
To proclaim and spread the Word, spending your life for the cause of the Gospel following Jesus the Master and seeking ways, tools and languages so that everyone may know and follow the Lord: this is the heart of your apostolate. Faced with the challenges of our time, this needs to be renewed and reinvigorated, so that the evangelical passion that inspires you may find its best expression.”
I dread this apostolic exhortation coming out, it sounds like it’s a combination of Pope Francis & Pope Leo. *Shudder*
On a completely different note: Does anyone know if there is going to be any kind of commemoration or Holy Year in 2030 to mark the 2,000 anniversary of Jesus’ public ministry. You would think that there would be a huge evangelical three year push, full of activity leading up to the 2,000 anniversary of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ in 2033. I’ve looked everywhere, but nothing.
Matthew: Bishop Andrew Cozzens mentioned a 2033 event but didn’t elaborate. It seemed as if it was a litmus test to gauge reaction from the audience. (This was at the Eucharistic Congress in Indy in July 2024.) But like you I’ve seen/heard nothing since.
@David WS, did your adrenaline enable you to lift really heavy in your home gym as you watched the International Conference “Raising Hope for Climate Justice”? I probably would have broken my 67-year old bench press record (and injured myself).
It’s not that making a glacier a sacramental is a bad thing in itself. It’s sucking it up in a shop vac to then be able to bottle it, that’s questionable.
@LQC, no my heartbeat slowed… my body relaxed.. my focus narrowed with my mind at peace. This might sound strange but for me.. seeing evidence of evil is the same as Knowing God.
To be sure this was paganism; Not an exorcism; but it could have used one-
With the most qualified exorcist in the room! As to why he could not sense that, I do not know. That- was very strange.
TMarie: Thanks, you’d think the Church would be shouting this Jubilee of Redemption to the heavens, what an opportunity to proclaim the gospel and the Catholic Church.
He looks like Emperor Palpatine.
