Alligator Alcatraz Is Only the Beginning

When my Bride was the librarian at one of the two prisons in our county, more than three decades ago, she was told that inmates were not to have access to maps.  She said that it hardly mattered;  most of the inmates were from Chicago and as far as they were concerned, our part of the State might as well have been labeled:  Here be Corn Dragons.  Those few who did manage to begin an escape were invariably picked up soon thereafter, usually in sad shape after wandering through, to them, endless corn fields.  A Children of the Corn detention facility outside of Dwight could be the securest facility in the Federal system.
