An advantage that conservatives have is that they have spent their lives in a society where the Left has controlled academia, Hollywood, most of the professions, etc. They are frequently used to being attacked for their beliefs and mustering arguments to defend said beliefs. Leftists often live in ideological bubbles where they usually pretend that the only conservatives who exist are the strawmen they create in their minds, and they do their best to cancel conservatives from the spaces they control. Nothing fails like success and Leftists are learning the truth of that maxim.

I maintain an account at Bluesky. I write nothing about politics. I occasionally post a Bible verse or a Stoic aphorism. It is the most hateful social media platform that I have visited. Its denizens are consumed by their hatred against and anger towards Donald Trump and anything remotely conservative. I don’t know if it’s laughable or pitiful. But those leftists, if given the opportunity, would murder people like you and me. Personally, I think the President and Vice President should tell Bluesky to either open its platform to diversity (isn’t that what liberals support?) or get shutdown. Leftists must face the kind of hateful creatures that they have become.
Leftism’s choice argumentative weapon “ad hominem” has made them incredibly weak, and is turning back on them like Frankenstein returning to the Castle.
My father, brother, and I do an occasional baseball podcast surrounding the Hall of Fame and my brother took the opportunity to move all the pod’s social media away from X and onto BlueSky. What a cesspool it is.

I often wonder what a lot of the people on the left once President Trump leave office for good in 2028. More anger at him? try to get him jailed? They have nothing to offer but anger and hatred, how can a party lead America off that?

Matthew – I think many of them will be saying “Trump wasn’t so bad but Vance/Cruz/whoever will be the end of the country if he brings in his fascist agenda”. I mean, in my lifetime I’ve heard “at least Nixon didn’t”, ditto Reagan, Gingrich, W, and Romney.
The first time I saw the name it was written as Bluesky. I thought is was a last name: Bloo’ skee.
Bluesky has re-established VP Vance’s account. It claims that an automated algorithm identified his profile as a suspected fraudulent one and it subsequently corrected the error.
