In their anti-Catholic frenzy the Washington legislature banned the priest-penitent privilege while allowing other privileges to stand, including therapists and attorneys. The law might as well have been entitled The We Really, Really Hate Papists act. This will never stand up in Federal court.

How will the authorities prove their case in court? Fear mongering. If the authorities are serious about population control, they need to promote religious freedom and virginity, end pornography, and the hook up culture.
