Explains a Lot

I believe it based upon a story in The Pillar about a meeting on April Fool’s Day this year between Bishop Martin and then Cardinal Prevost.  Go here to read it.  If true perhaps Bishop Martin will sson be reassigned to a diplomatic fact finding mission to Greenland.

“Pope Francis went over their heads on the urging of Cardinal Blase
Cupich & Father James Martin.”

Last hurrah. They must be very proud of themselves.

CS Lewis –

Everyone gets a cross in this life.
Christians are the only ones who know what to do with it.

The American Catholic Church as a person.

Our cross. Our nails. Our sufferings are real and Our Savior knows it. Don’t think it will be easy, as betrayers, who we’re your closest friends, abound and agenda’s change as fast as wind direction. We still know what to do.
We still walk the hill, with the full weight of the cross. We won’t fail because we don’t walk it alone. Christ walks it with us.

Praying for Cupich and a pair of Martins.

Jesus; “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”

Philip, Father James Martin and Cardinal Blase Cupich know EXACTLY what they are doing and have done.

Lucius…
I disagee.
For if they could see the face of God and live through it, they would do a complete 180° turn. They would see and smell the bowels of Hell and their bed of coals that they have fashioned for themselves. Oh no LQC.
They most definitely know not what they do.

Judas too, thought that he was right in his decisions to betray the Christ. He DID look into the face of God but couldn’t imagine forgiveness for himself.

Hell is real and many a self-deceived individual will suffer it’s fire.

Further explains BP. Martin’s haste in implementing his own “reforms”. He knows he doesn’t have an ally in the Chair. Also telling by the company he keeps. I would never want to be associated, positively, with those two.

Cupich ended up in Chicago, and is the most powerful prelate in the USA, because of Donald Wuerl.

The one time co adjutor Bishop of Seattle, the assistant to Cardinal Wright, the long time Bishop of Pittsburgh and disgraced Cardinal of Washington caused this. He was alleged to support Cupich for Chicago…Cupich isn’t fit to run a garage sale.

Wuerl succeeded McCarrick due to Pope Benedict’s appointment. Wuerl was never criticized in the Pittsburgh media and got a reputation for being tough on abusers. It was a facade.

John Paul II also had a high opinion of Wuerl but was never going to promote him out of Pittsburgh…which will never be an archdiocese but remains one of the largest seed in the US.

Because of Wuerl, the Pittsburgh Diocese had a huge influence on the Church in the US. Current or former bishops include Cardinals Wuerl, DiNardo and Maida, Archbishop Hebda, and Bishops Tobin of Providence, Bonnar of Youngstown and Bradley, who ran Kalamazoo and later was administrator of Steubenville. Wuerl was supposed to be behind the appointment of Burbridge, who looted the Wheeling WV diocese and Wuerl was supposed to want control of Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Like it or not, the Pittsburgh Diocese has had an outsized influence. Steubenville, Greensburg, Wheeling and Youngstown are all 65 miles or less from Pittsburgh and Altoona-Johnstown is less than 100 miles away.

Wuerl denied knowing about McCarrick. Yeah, right. North Catholic High School took Wuerl’s name off of the school.

Anthony Stine is losing it with Pope Leo about the potential appointment to the See of Vienna, Austria.

Just great! Where’s a petty, bitter, vindictive grudge-holding Pope when you need one?!!?

Well, our new pope needs to summon some moral courage and stop the implementation of TC and the persecution of faithful Catholics. Enough is enough!

I think you mean Bp. Bransfield. Michael Burbidge is the Bishop of Arlington (Va). Unlike his predecessor in Arlington, I don’t think he’s generated much ground level complaint.

Art Deco is right about Bishop Burbidge. I knew him when he was in charge of the Diocese of Raleigh. He was a decent man. But sadly, episcopal office like political office tends to contaminate the office holder.

Thank you for the correction, Art. I think Bransfield came from being the rector at the Basilica in DC. He made a mess in Wheeling.
