Don’t hold your breath about anyone within the Church hierarchy doing anything about it, but the truth will come out in dribs and drabs. Rupnik is still very much around. This is a problem that will grow for Pope Leo if he attempts to ignore it. At his inaugural mass Pope Leo said that he felt the influence of Pope Francis from Heaven. If that is the nonsense he decides to stick with, the Francis legacy will have a baleful impact on his pontificate.

He can give lip service to Francis nonsense all he wants. All he needs to do is release the restrictions on the Latin Mass, the torrent that follows will take care of all that nonsense.
David WS, respectfully …
There were no restrictions on the Latin Mass while Bergoglio was protecting/rehabilitating Grassi, McCarrick, Danneels, Zanchetta, Barros, Inzoli, Coccopalmerio or Rupnik.
There were no restrictions on the Latin Mass when Francis made that horrendous secret agreement with the Communist Chinese.
There were no restrictions on the Latin Mass when the pachamama idols were worshipped in the Vatican Garden or placed on the altars of Catholic churches.
Can we set our sights a little higher than ‘he wears traddy clothes and speaks a few words in Latin from time to time‘?
If these (and other) abuses aren’t addressed, lifting restrictions on the TLM will appear as nothing more than window dressing to appease the more traditionally minded faithful who’s donations have waned over these last 12 years.

I was also disturbed by the notion of “feeling” Francis from heaven.
Depending on feelings gets the modern world into trouble. The motto of “it just felt right” is emblazoned over most of the things that “used to be sins” – and still are!
CAG, et al.,
Think of it this way (if you would): we have been caught by one hand as we were about to plummet over the side of a mountain because we were viciously shoved and pushed towards the precipice.
We’re grateful that the man who reached out and grabbed hold of us has at least a basic love of others and sense of duty. He may be a slob, not much schooling or common sense, but in the moment, we’re just grateful that it’s not the same guy who tried to push us off the mountain.
All analogies limp. This one might just be in a motorized wheelchair.
Remember that popes (unlike presidents) can’t rehearse policies or appointments beforehand, since they never “run”. It’s always a slow start on any Vatican turnaround. The Francis comment was just a commonplace “nil nisi bonum de mortuis”. We can’t expect him to dig up the corpse, try him for heresy, and toss the body in the Tiber (and I’m not trying to give anybody ideas).
We can give Leo a month to start cleaning up Vatican finances, running out the Lavender Mafia and settling the Rupnik affair. China will take longer, and the results of his appointments will not be fully felt until his first consistory. Those done, other stuff will follow in due course e.g. when the last Cardinal-pervert is out, Fr. Martin will see the handwriting on the wall.
Pope Benedict XVI said that Vatican II never forbade the Latin Mass. “The Catholic Church is not ours” The Catholic Church belongs to Jesus Christ. Therefore, the doctrines are His and cannot be doctored. Pope Leo XIV has nothing to do but to sit back and let truth and doctrine prevail. Jorge interfered with the progression of the Church but he is gone. Let the doctrines prevail.
Someday soon all the nonsense will disappear.. Hoc quoque transibit.
