Francis had little patience for traditional Catholicism. He should never have been elected Pope.

Sad.
Offering a gift of respect for the office but the gift is not welcomed.
Too bad. He took away a very small part of the givers heart by his refusal.
Humiliating someone else and parading it as embracing humility yourself. These are the kinds of things for which Pope Francis is now answering before the Almighty.
Revulsion to respect due to the Office of the Papacy, by a pope, shows a deep conflict and a poisoned will to harm respect due to the Office. I wouldn’t say the man should never had been pope.
God will use everything we are, our goodness yes but even our sins to bring about the consummation of the world.
People had over recent time begun to think of the pope as infallible all the time. The Holy Spirit showed us the pope is not God, HE IS, and even such a man cannot destroy the Church or I pray soon too it will be shown even the Office.
A truly humble man might be discomfited by expressions of reverence for the office he holds being directed at himself, that’s perfectly understandable. But a truly humble Pope would also accept that his office is a thing greater than himself, and while he might not deserve such expressions of reverence, his office certainly does!
I do wonder what will happen to the Where Peter Is crowd if the new Pope is in a more traditional vein. If nothing else, I would love for the whole “popesplaining” industry to just disappear.
the Archdiocese of Detroit will still suffer under the dead thumb of the evil clown. He named a new Archbishop recently and in July the Traditional Mass is to stop in Michigan. The burden of the Conclave of 2013 lingers on…….
Dave Rx, Never doubt that the Latin Mass will be offered in Michigan, forever. It’s Jesus’s church, and He’s God, Almighty. Just wait and see, and believe. Guy, Texas

If only one could unsee that.
That is embarrassing. Atleast give the poor people warning not to bow and kiss his ring instead of suffer that humiliation. And there was many of them, not just a few.
And the two priests standing there like stunned mullets pretending all was ok. No one dared to say to PF “hey what are you doing?” Honestly we all are capable of taking things too far in life and need someone from time to time to tell us to pull our heads in. I don’t think anyone told PF he was wrong…:ever.
