I feel bad for the secretaries, janitors, accountants, crafts services and other lower level personnel. I hope they land on their feet, especially since I doubt ABC is giving them the sort of severance packages it’s likely giving any laid-off executives and ‘talent’.
But for all the damage corporate media like ABC has done to our culture in general, and to journalism in particular— yes, I’m glad to see them implode. Good riddance.
What needs to happen is for Disney’s stock price to tank to the point that a team of private investors can purchase a share of the company sufficient to replace the current board. The new board can then install a new president, who can clean out the perverts Bob Iger appointed to run the place.

Newsweek reports that most of the layoffs will hit GMA3, the afternoon version of Good Morning America. Where will the nation turn for the authentic hard-hitting news they used to get from the afternoon version of Good Morning America?
