Guest post from writer Mary Proffit Kimmel:
An Open Letter to President Trump
Dear Mr. President,
Thank you for putting America first. I ask and beg you especially to put the most
defenseless and innocent Americans very first by saving babies from mail-order abortions.
An 1873 law, known as the Comstock Act, forbids sending obscene materials in the mail,
including abortion pills. Liberals are terrified that you will enforce the Comstock Act.
Chemical abortion is the most common method of killing preborn babies today. The
Biden administration instructed the Department of Justice not to enforce Comstock, enabling
illegal mail-order abortions. This allowed liberal activists to ship abortion pills to any state, even
those where abortion is illegal. You have the authority to protect children and move the Pro-Life
mission forward with existing law.
In the words of Lady Capulet, “I beg for justice, which thou must give.” Justice for the
unborn does not conflict with the freedom of women since freedom is not the mere absence of
restraint but the ability to do good. Freedom to do evil is not freedom at all; allowing people to
vitiate themselves through immoral conduct is not empowerment.
In the Gorgias, Plato argues that it is worse to do than to suffer evil: one had rather be
sinned against than commit sin. Moral evil harms the soul and is therefore a greater catastrophe
than material evil, which only harms the body. In that case, the women who procure abortions
are more to be pitied even than the children they murder. Abortion kills the baby’s body, but it
kills the woman’s soul.
True human flourishing requires just laws and their judicious enforcement. If we truly
have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, please help the weakest and most
vulnerable to attain it.
Sincerely,
Mary Proffit Kimmel

Ms. Kimmel, Thank you for being a voice for these children.
And thank you for this: “Moral evil harms the soul and is therefore a greater catastrophe than material evil, which only harms the body. In that case, the women who procure abortions are more to be pitied even than the children they murder. Abortion kills the baby’s body, but it kills the woman’s soul.” For many women the abortion pill has been the death pill and thousands have had adverse events after taking it. You are also a voice for all the women who have been killed by the abortion pill and all of those who have been inured.
It would seem that the reversal of the Roe v. Wade decision – considered by many constitutional scholars the worst decision ever made, from a constitutional jurisprudential perspective – clears the way for the enforcement of the law.

More factual data to back up the decision to prohibit the abortion death pill from being sent thru the US mail:
“A new study surveyed American women ages 41-45 about their reproductive histories and their history of suicide.
It found that aborting women were twice as likely to have attempted suicide compared to other women. Aborting women, especially those who underwent coerced or unwanted abortions, were significantly more likely to say their pregnancy outcomes directly contributed to suicidal thoughts and behaviors compared to women in all other groups.

Key points:
This study confirmed the findings of a previous study revealing that nearly 70% of women with a history of abortion describe their abortions as inconsistent with their own values and preferences, with one in four describing their abortions as unwanted or coerced.” [LifeNews.com]
More reasons to prohibit the mailing of the abortion death pill: the widespread injurious and deady effects of PASS, Post Abortion Stress Syndrome.
[from a 2015 article-the numbers are much worse today}:
“Just taking into account family members, this is a total – without discounting for death – of over 728,000,000 people. Discounted for non-abortion death, using extremely conservative estimates, the number of post-abortive persons in America currently alive is about 305,000,000. The estimate of the current United States population is 325,000,000. Accepting that not only mothers can be impacted after an abortion, the odds are, therefore, very high that each and every American is post-abortive – which means that as a country, America itself is post-abortive.”
Not only the mother, but the father and other relatives – grandparents, siblings etc – can and do suffer PASS.
