Donald- you’ll probably post about this later, but I was curious about that Catholic Charities video going around on X. How much of what that woman says in respect to what “rights” the illegals purportedly have is true and how much false?
Jason, I leave the answers to your questions to our host, who knows the topic much better than I do. But FWIW, my presumption, based on their behavior since I converted in 2004, is that nothing Catholic Charities says is to be trusted. I stopped donating to them even before the installation of Francis. If I’m wrong in this instance, I will apologize.
Depends upon the state. Blue states tend to be illegal friendly in their legislation.

Governments in Columbia have a long history of stupidity beginning with TR and the Panama canal. Always seems to be to the detriment of their citizens. A real shame as they do grow some pretty good coffee.
I just don’t understand how the Colombian president is at peace with the fact its citizens are fleeing Columbia…fix your bloody country instead of encouraging your citizens to leave! The narrative needs to change fast, with pressure put back on the leaders of nations whose citizens don’t want to live in their motherland.
