PopeWatch: The Lavender Mafia Strikes Again

Go here to read all about it. The argument has been made by desperate PopeSplainers that just because the event is on the calendar doesn’t mean that the Pope endorses it.  Please.  Do insult our intelligence.

I used to get very irritated with Bishops who don’t do much to promote the education of children in their diocese (other than expensive private school for very few), and their lack of interest in promoting family life. This should be the life blood of a Bishop as it is the future.

Then the impossible dawned on me. The reason why fatherhood and the well being of children is foreign to a many a Bishop.
They’re homosexuals.

I’ve seen more than a few Catholics, on here and elsewhere, who considered Cardinal Zuppi Papabile … This is who he is, who he has always been.

David WS-

I used to be upset that bishops did little to teach.

Then I saw the curriculum, and realized what they would be teaching. Quite happy to escape error taught from authority.

Come to think of it, error taught by authority is the hallmark of the modern age…

It wouldn’t surprise me to discover that if you hooked a random sample of Catholic bishops up to jumper cables and flashed pictures of naked 20 year old men on a screen, that about 1/3 of them would register on the meter as homosexuals. The thing is, in the mainline bodies their (male) clergy are largely married men and they have the same attitudes. The educated bourgeois in much of the occidental world (and that includes the clergy) have a ‘co-dependent’ relationship with the homosexual population. How this came about is a story that has never been assembled and told.

How exactly is this a “Holy” Year again?

Is it because it’s the 425th anniversary of the “martyrdom” of Giordano Bruno? What’s Francis’s thinking on this, I wonder.

It’s a Holy year bc Christ made it so. No one else.
Jesus is Trustworthy and True. Every year is a Holy year regardless of the stains of clergy and laity.

Sacred Heart anniversary year too, 350th I believe.

Jesus’ love for humanity is beyond comprehension. *Take what is good and leave what isn’t.* I have fallen into the trap of bad mouthing an ordained child of God bc I am struggling with pride. When it comes to religious men or women who fall over the line of scandalous behavior or suspicious acquaintances I will serve my soul better by praying for them rather than chastising them.

I struggle with Pope Francis.
For me…I need to pray for for him more.

God could of struck him down if He so chose to do so. Or me, for that matter.

We all fall short in His sight of us.

In AA / NA and Alanon / Naranon we were taught to get away from abusive parents lest they become an excuse to return to drinking / drugging again. As far as I am concerned, this Pope is a heretic, and except to refute and combat his manifest heresies, it is best to give him no credence, no respect. He has lost the privilege of the deference and esteem that normally goes with the high office that he occupies because he has so tarnished and soil it. May he answer to God.

How many practising homosexuals are practising Catholics? Makes you wonder who this “pilgrimage” is really for…

And what about the magisterium? What do they say? Has he been labeled a heretic by the church authorities?

Until then, are we not obligated to buck-up and pray our way through this pontificate?
I’m serious. I’m asking in earnest.

Philip-

When my teeth get set on edge by the Vatican, I try to remember how many medieval Catholics now in Heaven knew little more than the reigning pontiff’s name.
We need to hold fast to the teachings of the Church and pray for those who are its visible leaders. When current chatter and centuries old Tradition conflict, it is our obligation to hold to Tradition. I trust several hundred years worth of serious Catholics. In my opinion, our current age is not particularly serious.
So, I will pray for those who vex me and create difficulties in my life, as Christ instructed me to do. Even though I’d rather throw stuff at the walls.

‘How exactly is this a “Holy” Year again?”

There’s supposed to be a Holy Year at 25 year intervals. There was one in 1950 and in 1975 and in 2000 so I guess we’re due for one.
