I wonder what Bergoglio’s excuse is for this? From what little I have seen online, some traditionalists are calling the interior repairs a “wreckovation”, which ought to warm his dark little heart. Or maybe it’s because Trump is going. If so, then…heh. 😁
Wreckovation? If so it is nowhere near as bad as originally proposed.
It’s a sad day when a nominal Protestant has more respect for a major Catholic Shrine than the vicar of Christ!

Well done, Mr. President! I am proud to know a representative of our Government will be present, especially a president. This is not only a decent thing to do for an ally of America but will earn the goodwill of the people of France. And heaven knows, America always has room for international friends.
Maybe, President Elect can take the new papal nuncio to Paris, Bishop Strickland.
“Maybe, President Elect can take the new papal nuncio to Paris, Bishop Strickland.”
Worth saying twice…imo.
Miracles DO happen. 🥸
I think Bergoglio, who is very vain, did not want to appear at Notre Dame, sitting, obviously incapacitated even in a wheelchair, alongside a very vibrant and strong President Trump. PF refuses to acknowledge his declining state and wants to hold on to power, unlike his much maligned predecessor, and like every Leftist does, until the last minute of life, clutching the drapes as they carry him out to the funeral home.
A beautiful moment for France. The restoration involved local artisans and stone masons who had the once-in-a-lifetime honour of working on the rebuilding of their national treasure. The restoration is far from a “wreckovation”. It’s stunning.
Pope Francis not attending the re-opening of one of the most important Catholic Cathedrals on this earth, is a monumentally disappointment.
Trump being there, despite being alongside the likes of Macron, is all class. Bravo.
