Thought For The Day

God made the sexes complimentary.  A strong motivator for many men is to receive approval from women, which probably dates back to their days in the nursery with their mothers.

This is true.

I think women are hard on themselves juggling everything and out of habit or always feeling rushed, tend to forget to be gentle to the people around them. Men deserve appreciation as much as women.

This is a good reminder that we all are human and it isn’t a competition.

Careful boys, girls can be manipulative.

Truth to this and you know you’ve grown up when you can tell the difference.

There’s something so special when my wife’s eyes and her angelic smile are freely given to me.
It’s as if we we’re on our first date. Eye’s don’t lie.
I am blessed to have her by my side.

I can tell the difference now. Will I reach an age where I’ll care?

1. “You look way too good to be a cashier.” No. Don’t focus on looks. How about, “You seem a smart young man with a good work ethic. Pick some goals and you will go far.” This way you are not denigrating the cashier job. It is honest work.
2. “Hello lovely gentlemen” No, inappropriate. How about, “Good morning, Gentlemen. ” This said with a genuine smile not a flirty one.

Sadly, …my first impression of most of these was…how patronizing.
That tidbit about fixing your own computer, …is debatable.
Most men SHOULD know how to fix a minor hitch. ..So should most women, really.
Maybe that thought would’ve applied in 1992; Windows specifically aimed to make pc use easy for most anyone.
If it’s something more involved, …the lady would typically be razzing him for not speaking with LAN support.
Besides which, with each of these, …if a man said anything like that, he’d almost certainly be subject to disciplinary action for sexual harassment.

I see what you did there, Don: “the sexes are complimentary.”
It’s absolutely true: if sufficiently prodded, I could tell you each and every occasion when I was paid a sincere compliment by a female.

I hate to be “corrections commissar,” but isn’t the word “complementary?” (With an “e”)

Unfortunately, as I discovered at an early age (fortunately), sometimes even a casual.compliment to a man can lead to an unwelcome encounter in the keypunch room.
