I guess my first question is why Mr. Sabato is choosing to admit to tuning in to watch what he thinks (and wants others to think) is a live pro-Nazi rally.
I guess a modicum of self-awareness is not required by the terms and conditions of X, which admittedly probably makes X way more amusing.
“Madison Square Garden… is located in Midtown Manhattan between Seventh and Eighth avenues from 31st to 33rd streets above Pennsylvania Station. It is the fourth venue to bear the name “Madison Square Garden…with the third Madison Square Garden (1925) farther uptown at Eighth Avenue and 50th Street.”
3rd version 1925-1968
4th version 1968-current
Different buildings, different locations in the city.
Why is it that anti-fascists are so quick to facilitate fascist doctrines and prescribe measures that are in line with Marxism, and yet blame their opponent for the very same things they do?
One could call it projectile vomiting.
🤮
I guess that it’s their distinguishing quality.
Argo.
Sabato’s deficit 35 years ago was banality manifest in lame defenses of the political establishment of the day. He was the prof at the Gridiron dinner. (Norman Ornstein was another such character). Remarks like that tell you people commonly deteriorate as they age (if not as spectacularly as Mark Shea).
Watching the total meltdown of the Left as they realize what is about to happen is delicious. Lord, forgive me for enjoying the misery of others, even though they richly deserve it.
@Frank — I totally get that … but this election is going to be close, and all the Institutions are behind Harris. Don’t underestimate their ability to pull a Harris victory out of their … hats. Also don’t overestimate the accuracy of the polls, one way or another.
I remember Clinton supporters being just this confident of victory 8 years ago.
Outis- they often talk out of their “hats” too…
I thought Sabato was this impartial, “just the facts, ma’am” kind of commentator and pollster. You mean he was a closet idiot-non-savant this whole time? Has Trump passively exposed another one of these Wormtongues?
(By the way, nice, subtle burn in your reply, DRM!)
Sabato, as he has grown older, has dropped his mask of objectivity.
I would not expect him to eschew a point of view. I do expect him (and posing reporters) to refrain from participating in the Democratic Party’s inane information ops. The Trump-is-a-fascist meme is both stupid and malicious. It’s particularly egregious given the abuse of the opposition you see in the United States and other occidental countries. And there are other things they do not see. I recently came across a supposed assessment of the outgoing administration by one Michael Hayes of Colgate University. (Hayes has a history as a posing Republican). Joseph Biden’s manifest mental impairment is never mentioned even once. What’s Hayes’ excuse?
