PopeWatch: Foot in the Door

“Vice is a monster of so frightful mien
As to be hated needs but to be seen;
Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face,
We first endure, then pity, then embrace.”

― Alexander Pope

Brilliant quote, imo.

God does love all of his children, especially those with mental challenges. Whether it be demonic possession or demonic influence the church needs to assist them and the culture should do all that it can to get them the help that they need.

I do not believe that embracing the illness is beneficial for the individual or the culture, in the long run.

Truth leads us to everlasting happiness.
Pretend games are counterproductive.

I hope the Pope gives them the Truth.

This Pope reminds me of a lot of individuals I have encountered across education who, when it is repeatedly demonstrated that their intellectual aptitude is lacking in some fashion, will attempt to cover it up with “personality.”

Said individuals would also fly along with every single fad that passed through – culturally and educationally.

Their movement seems to compel us to acknowledge lies as truth. Can there really be anything more diabolic?

I have pity for those who believe their own lies, but not when they seek to cajole, persuade, or compel me to lie.

For the trekkies out there,
“THERE. ARE. FOUR. LIGHTS.”
